Analysis of the error budget for a superconducting undulator SASE line at European XFEL

Abstract European XFEL is investing in the development of superconducting undulators (SCUs) for future upgrade its beamlines. SCUs made NbTi, working at 2 K, with a period length 15 mm and vacuum gap 5 allow covering range between 54 keV 100 keV. The effect mechanical errors distribution undulator parameter K along more relevant points lower photon energy, which are obtained using higher magnetic field undulator. In this article we investigate error K-parameter point 50 energy injecting an electron beam 16.5 GeV from linear accelerator line composed by 1.6 T peak field.
